We recommend the Haunted Ghost Bus Tour for first-timers. It’s our most immersive and theatrical experience—offering variety, comfort, and access to multiple haunted locations.
This tour goes to 5 locations and enters 4 most night so you get to experience a bit of each major part of of SD.
The bus is good for people that like a break from the walking aspect.
Being first time ghost hunters getting to experience a bit of everything is a plus.
Which tour is best for families with kids?
Our Old Town Walking Tour – Paranormal Investigation is the most family-friendly. It’s spooky but not scary, and includes real ghost hunting in safe outdoor locations.
None of our tours would I call scary. They all are spooky and nothing maleficent has happened on any.
The Old Town Walking Tour can be better for kids due to the tool use and the activity. Kids and adults like to use the tools and be directly involved in ghost hunting and the stories.
The San Diego Ghost Bus Tour is also a good idea as it does cover multiple locations and moves quickly. The content is more mature though.
Finally the Haunted Gaslamp Ghost tour is the most mature with brothel history and people partying downtown.
Ghost and Goblets Haunted Pub Crawl is not good for kids 😉

The Gaslamp Walking Tour also enters at least one real haunted interior.
The Old Town Walking and Paranormal Event do not go into buildings. We do pay to have access to a haunted park where we have gotten lots of ghostly activity.
Ghost and Goblets Haunted San Diego Pub Crawl enters 3 bars that are considered haunted.

You’ll want to bring a sense of humor as the stories are true they are still done theatrically and with jokes.

The Gaslamp/Downtown Walking Tour is our fastest-moving and most mature tour. With brothel lore, true crime, and downtown energy, it’s best for adults looking for depth and atmosphere.
Downtown is a party area and that by itself makes this tour more intense. Remember though spooky, not scary. Things do happen on our tours but you have to get lucky (and things do happen on all our tours).
